356/365: “Peace On Earth/ Little Drummer Boy”

I love this song even when I’m in Grinch mode. Work has been extra crazy thanks to frantic and moody last-minute Christmas shoppers. I spent most of the past two days working in our stock room, so I had the luxury of listening to Christmas music on the radio (the only station we can get back there) instead of the store music. During both days I was able to catch part of “The Little Drummer Boy/ Peace on Earth” by two of my favorite male vocalists: David Bowie and Bing Crosby. This collaboration makes me happy, and so does the video clip that goes with it.

267/365: “Find Your Love” (James Massone, The Voice Season 2)

I’m attempting to watch The Voice again. I’ve given up partway through the past two seasons because our episodes are too long, and there are too many of them. I don’t have time to watch three hours of The Voice every week! (That’s three hours on Hulu minus the ads.) I inevitably get behind on episodes and get to the point where I can’t catch up unless I marathon-watch them. That’s not gonna happen.

Watching the auditions from last night’s premier episode makes me think of one of my favorite Voice contestants, Boston-area native James Massone. He wowed the judges, the audience, and me with his performance of Drake’s song “Find Your Love” back in season 2. Here it is:
